Step 1 - Remove Body & PCB
Gently unclip the body from the chassis.
Desolder the wires from the pickup strips and the resistor bank PCB.
Step 2 - Fit Decoder
Solder the red and black wires from the decoder to the pickup strips, followed by the orange and grey wires to the motor.
Step 3 - Refit Motor
Refit the motor inside the body. It should just clip in, but if it has been removed a few times before you may need to add a small amount of glue to hold it in place.
Add a piece of kapton tape to the underside of the motor, to prevent any motor contacts being able to touch the pickup strips.
Step 4 - Refit Body
Add some kapton tape or shrink sleeve to the decoder so it cannot touch the pickup strips or motor contacts.
Put the decoder into the cab, then clip the body back on.
