How to convert N Gauge Kato Steeple Cab to DCC

This guide shows how to convert the Kato Steeple Cab loco to DCC, part of the Kato Pocketline Range.

The process for converting these models is all basically the same. For detailed instructions that covers all Kato Pocket Line series chassis, see the Kato Pocketline conversion guide.

Unlike the UK outline version by Gaugemaster, there isn't enough space to fit a decoder between the chassis and the body. As such, some modifications are required.

Remove the 'S' pieces from the top of the chassis. Turn the body upside down and carefully enlarge one of the gaps in the centre, so the decoder will fit through it.
